Brandon Stewart

Brandon Stewart, Ph.D., is an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Arthur H. Scribner Bicentennial Preceptor at Princeton University.

At Princeton, Stewart is also affiliated with the Politics Department, the Office of Population Research, the Princeton Institute for Computational Science and Engineering, and the Center for the Digital Humanities. He develops new quantitative statistical methods for applications across computational social science.

Stewart completed a Ph.D. in Government at Harvard in 2015 where he also received a master’s degree in statistics. He is one of the developers of the Structural Topic Model, a widely used framework for text analysis.
