In-Person Seminar FAQs

How can I get a hotel room?
For each seminar, a block of rooms is reserved at an onsite or nearby hotel, often at reduced rates. You must make your own reservation and payment arrangements. On the webpage for each seminar, you will find detailed information on the hotel and how to register. It is important to follow the registration instructions exactly as written. It’s also important to make your hotel reservation early because rooms are often released a month before the seminar begins.

Can I bring my laptop to the seminar?
You’re always welcome to bring your laptop. Power outlets are provided for “hands-on” seminars that include computer exercises. And if the instruction requires internet access, WiFi will also be provided. Power and WiFi are often available for other seminars as well, but are not guaranteed.

Will lunch or refreshments be served during the seminar?
We typically provide coffee, hot tea, and water each morning of the course. Participants are responsible for their own lunches. We will provide a list of a few convenient options prior to the seminar.

What is the dress code?
There is not a required dress code for our seminars. Dress typically ranges from casual to business casual. We recommend dressing for comfort and bringing a jacket or sweater, as room temperatures can vary.

What is the daily schedule for a seminar?
Most of our seminars run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, with a one-hour break for lunch. A few seminars end at 4 p.m., and that will be noted in the course description.
